Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A big black brooding Napa Cab that is characteristically ripe. It's thick and glossy and streaked with blackberry and cherry with wafts from summer pudding smothered in chocolate. Tannins are firm with some earthiness and will allow for some ageing of this wine. Pair it with Prosciutto and caramelised onion roasted beef.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Notes of raspberry and bramble lead on the nose with hints of savoury cedar. The fruit carries to the palate that has supple tannins. Perfect for beef tenderloin or lamb. Tasted October 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
From the Napa Valley wine region, Girard 2016 is a medium-plus-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon smoky good with dark plum fruit, blackberry, cedar spice and dark chocolate flavours savoury and satisfying on the palate. Pair with a duck confit and roasted small potatoes and pearl onions. - Community Wine Reviews
