Gérard Bertrand's Orange Gold 2022 is an orange wine produced from organically grown Chardonnay, White Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne, Mauzac, Muscat and Clairette grapes and vinified without destemming or crushing the grapes with extensive grape skin contact. Grapes are semi carbonic macerated, then pressed into stainless steel tanks with completed maceration in barrels. Look for ripe apricot, peach, soft citrus zest, ginger and honeysuckle flavours on this beautiful gold-hued white wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon region.

Food pairings: bouillabaisse, pan-fried scallops in ginger and mandarin, duck a l'orange.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A very pretty, intensely coloured but lighter flavoured skin contact wine made from organic Chardonnay, White Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne, Mauzac, Muscat and Clairette. Aromas of apricot, white tea, orange zest, and a touch of white florals. Medium bodied, with citrus, honey, and floral flavours on the palate, along with a ginger spice note. Enjoy with seafood pasta.
