Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Rich and flavourful, this is a rounded and bold blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre. Aromas of blackcurrant and ripe strawberry, along with hints of dried herbs, anise, and leather. Full bodied, with smooth tannins, rich, ripe red and black berry notes, and a dry finish with hints of herbs and licorice spice. Enjoy with beef or mushroom dishes.
From Gérard Bertrand, a superb, full-bodied red wine blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre grapes from southern France. Chateau L'hospitalet La Clape 2021 is fragrant with cassis, blackberry and smoky notes, rich and flavourful on the palate with black currant, ripe red berry, dried herbs, meaty, spicy notes and fresh on the palate. Tannins are velvety and this lovely Languedoc red is perfect for hearty meat dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
