A pale ballet slipper pink, almost crystalline transparency in the glass. This southern French rosé is made from Grenache Noir and Grenache Gris grapes, thus Gris Blanc (grey-white) are hand-picked in the Roussillon region located in Tautavel between the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees mountains. The wine is matured on the fine lees for several weeks before bottling. Lovely mouth-watering acidity for fresh seafood salads. Finishes savoury with dried herbs and garrigue with some light racy cherry on the finish.

Rosé 1.5L food pairings: seafood salad, chilled prawns with strawberry champagne dressing, seafood ceviche.

Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale salmon in the glass, with fresh aromas of white flowers and citrus, with a hit of acidity mid-palate, and a crisp grapefruit finish. Made with black and and white Grenache, hence the Gris-Blanc namesake.
Tasted May 2017.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is the type of Rosé I love on a hot day. It has a natural salinity that makes the unripe strawberry, rhubarb, citrus and rainier cherry notes pop on your tongue. Buy by the boatload. 90 Points.
Melissa Pulvermacher reviewed this wine as follows:

Who doesn't love a magnum of Rosé? Incredibly fresh and really opened my eyes to how the South of France could produce what we consider a cool climate wine. Produced from black and grey Grenache grown entirely in Roussillon, the acidity in this wine speaks for itself.

The wine is produced from direct and light pressed juice. Floral and fresh with a mid-palate richness in the texture. JP and I agreed on this interesting note of Popeye candy that follows through to the palate. A fun, easy Rosé for the summer patio.
Savoury and elegant, this is one of the very popular French rosés for the summer and for the fall as well as a harvest wine. The colour of a pale pink ballet slipper, this southern-France rosé is made from Grenache Noir and Grenache Gris grapes. The wine is matured on its fine lees for several weeks prior to bottling and has a wonderful minerality, fresh red cherry, dried savoury garrigue herbs and a mouth-watering acidity to match. Just an elegant and well-balanced rosé ready to drink now by itself or with your favourite seafood dish. - Community Wine Reviews
