A gloriously rich and full-bodied Australian Shiraz with aromas of black fruit, violets, toasty oak and dried herbs. Such a pleasant balance here with a naturally pleasing bite for food. Layered and complex and deep. Yes please! Pair with meat lovers' or pepperoni pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nov 16, 2014: Deep ruby, plummy, blackberry, black cherry, eucalyptus, dark chocolate and oak spice nose. Full bodied, plush, with currant, black cherry, eucalyptus, chocolate and spice. Medium acidity and drying tannins on the warm finish - a little brutish at %14.9 but the fruit keeps it in check. Drink until the end of the decade.
The robust Australian red wine is the winery's Cuvee Maitre (Founder's Blend or Reserve) and it shows in the glass. Dense flavours of blackberry and mulberry and dark spices. Try this big red with slow-roasted lamb shanks or braised beef with seasonal vegetables.
