Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Fresh appealing minerality, medium bodied Sauvignon Blanc wine with a stone fruit, flowers, grapefruit and lime finish. I love this wine’s simplicity - how it’s a straight natural expression of the grape flavour - what I call ‘vineyard wine’. This wine doesn’t have that grassy and overly fruity flavour that you often find especially in New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. Pair with asparagus based salads, light white fish dishes and calamari appetizers.
This Pouilly Fume from the Loire wine region is produced by Tinel-Blondelet. Genetin (2015) is produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc wine grapes. On the nose the wine is floral with zesty lime and grapefruit notes. On the palate it is dry with ripe stonefruit, melon and a lime-lemon zesty finish. The name Genetin harkens back to an ancient grape called Muscat Genetin, which eventually evolved into Sauvignon Blanc. - Community Wine Reviews
