Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Cherry and vanilla aromas carry through on the palette with a balanced acidity, light tannins, and a long peppery finish making this a perfect pairing with holiday nibbles and great friends. 2012 was a stellar year for grape growing in Niagara, and I absolutely love this wonderful expression of this varietal!
Astrid Young - Sommelier ISG CAPS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

An inviting nose bursting with black and tart cherry fruit, as well as field berries galore. Elegantly textured, showing at least a 12 month new French oak treatment by telltale hints of caramel, chocolate and mocha. Finishes with a meaty, savory note and ripe tannins. love it. Seared duck breast, blueberry reduction, polenta, braised red cabbage.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

What a pleasant surprise of a Pinot! If I was blind tasting this wine, I'd have guessed it was a New Zealand Central Otago style Pinot (and at half the price!). This Pinot is a lovely light wine with cherry, tart cranberry and hint of smokey notes; and a great balance of acidity and tannins. Pair with smoked holiday ham, pork tenderloin roast or braised beef.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The G. Marquis Vineyards The Silver Line Pinot Noir 2012 is a must try wine! This very aromatic pinot features cherry, raspberry, and spice. Nice smoke and vanilla notes. Great value! Tasted November 2016 (90/100)
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Cherry and a hint of earthy smokiness on the nose, following through on the palette with more pepper, sour cherry, fine tannins. Sip with smoked duck pate. Great pinot at a great price!
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Cherry, cherry, cherry! Bright in colour and pops up predominantly on the nose! A hint of tobacco and spices. I'm already picturing a crusty, rosemary herbed roast pork tenderloin to accompany.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A very aromatic PInot Noir with aromas of vanilla, cloves and red plums. The palate starts with tart red plums, cherries and vanilla, then adds a peppery note and a hint of tobacco. Long spicy vanilla finish. Great versatility with food matches-pork, duck, turkey.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A medium garnet, with aromas of eucalyptus, mint, raspberry, and cranberry. A bright, peppery taste with some grippy tannins. Pair with BBQ pork dishes.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pale garnet with thick legs. Pretty floral nose with cherry syrup, vanilla, sweet spices, toast.
Light body, smooth tannins, medium(-) acidity with flavours of dark fruit, blueberry, field flowers, vanilla, cedar. Easy sipping.
Pair with mixed green salad topped with flowers.
Tasted: November 2014
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Floral and fragrant pinot noir. Aromas of cherry, mocha and some earthy notes, also a bit of leather. Light and bright, cherry and field berries on the palate. Tart, but balanced.Try this with lamb or maybe turkey with cranberry sauce.
