Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is a vintage Champagne that is bold and full of flavour. A little bit funky, with aromas of yeast and toasty brioche, tart lime and maybe some lemon and lime pith as well. Dry, with vibrant, mouthwatering acidity and firm, persistent bubbles on the palate. Citrus fruit is tart and bright on the palate with a softer yeast / bread hint on the finish. Enjoy with any rich seafood dishes, or do a high/low pairing with pub style fish and chips.
"La Grande Hermine" was the ship that carried Jacques Cartier from Brittany to Québec; it's a nod to the link between my family history, in France, and that of my wife Daniella, who was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario.
