Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

‘Pomino' in Italian means 'little apple' and is also the name of a small region in Tuscany - this is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc from the very well respected house of Frescobaldi. Round with a full mouth feel from its touch with oak, combined with lemon notes and freshness. A wine that is very food friendly: It will get along with bigger dishes such as Cornish hen and quail, as well as light salads and seafood. There is good acid on the finish that adds length and depth to this well balanced and structured wine. Very good for its price point.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Chardonnay/Pinot Bianco blend is refreshing with peach and ginger on the nose. It is medium bodied with textured stone fruits on the palate. Pair with pizza bianca or light, lemony pasta dishes. Tasted Nov 15, 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
From the Tuscany wine region, Frescobaldi Ca Stello Di Pomino 2017 is a crisp, clean, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay is a medium-bodied white wine blend with ripe peach, orchard fruit, mild spice and lemon zest flavours on the palate. Shades of spring. Chill and enjoy on its own on the deck or the dock. - Community Wine Reviews
