A full-bodied Californian Cabernet with a long life ahead of it. Give this one some more cellar time, then decant 1-2 hours when you open it. Aromas of black fruit, violets, cigar box and smoke. Pair with prime rib.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rare prime rib, gourmet burgers, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black fruit, cigar box and smoke. Nice tannins, good acid and smooth. Very full flavour with a complexity that changes with each sip. Long fruit and pencil shavings finish.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Plummy, minty eucalyptus and mocha aromas followed by smooth rich black fruit, chocolate, mocha, meaty, balsamic and dried fig flavours. Tannins are smooth and ripe, acidity is mouthwatering and finish is long and scrumptious. Enjoy this plush California Cab with braised lamb shanks. Tasted Mar 2017 by @sommsosa.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A bold and tart Cali Cab Sauv with a firm structure and lots of dark berry, cassis and dark chocolate. Pair with BBQ steak or prime rib roast. Tasted March 2017. 90 points.
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Typical cab nose, very enticing. The mouth is a bit lighter, at first but it evolves quite nicely in the mouth. Firm and smooth tannins prance nicely with the black fruit and the oak. A good price for the oumph in the bottle. Well integrated acidity, and some of that elusive minerality.
Wineboy rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Wow! My tasting notes are so different from Natalie's even though we tasted at around the same time but in different cities. Her bottle sounds so good and, sadly, so different from mine. My integrity dictates I must convey my experience. Light, reserved and $30. Natalie... can you pass me your bottle please?
