Full-bodied, juicy and tasty with attractive dark red berries and cedar smoke. Perfect for so many dishes with robust flavours. Lots of mouth-watering acidity. Pair with pastas in meat sauce or sausages. Valpolicella Superiore food pairings: pasta in a thick tomato sauce.

Dolcetto D'alba food pairings: rich tomato and roasted Italian vegetables sauce over penne, beef stuffed tomatoes and peppers.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Incredible Dolcetto, and the price makes it an absolute steal and worth buying by the case for Pizza Nights. This wine features gorgeous aromas and flavours of blackberry, black currant, cherry, plum, freshly cut tobacco, and a slight coffee note. Drink it now or let sit until 2018. 92 Points. Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full-bodied, dark ruby with great acidity and medium tannins. Aromas consist of black plum, charcuterie, red cherries and tobacco. This wine would pair well with grilled eggplant parmesan or thin crust pizza. Tasted September 2016.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of cedar, smoke, wildberry, and plum. Medium bodied with juicy berry flavours and great acidity. Very fine tannins and a medium tart cherry finish. This would pair wonderfully with many tomato based Italian dishes.
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black cherries & red berries with cedar and tobacco smoke with the aromas following through on the palate. Full bodied and mouthwatering with a medium finish and this will pair nicely with any tomato based Italian dish.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby color. Juicy red fruit wine with tons of lively acidity. Dry short finish that will accompany pasta dishes.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby in colour. Moderately aromatic nose with jammy black fruits and crushed grape notes. Lively acidity, light body and tart red and black fruit notes feature on the fairly smooth palate. The tannins are soft and rounded. Overall a simple but very pleasant every day red, best served slightly chilled.
Full-bodied, juicy and smooth, just a great value, robust Italian red from the Valpolicella region. Lots of fruit, zesty acidity and screaming for a pasta and meat dish with rich, thick tomato sauce. - Community Wine Reviews
