Blackberry and fleshy ripe black plums with dark spice aromas on this full-bodied well-priced red wine that's a blend of Grenache and Syrah. Nice price. Produced by Bertrand & Guillaume Gonnet, Vign. Try it with grilled steak.

Food pairings: gourmet hamburgers, grilled pork chops, barbecued steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Expressive aromas of dark fruits with vanilla and oak in supporting roles introduced a mid-weight palate of concentrated dark fruits, cracked pepper and hints of wood smoke. Noticeable but approachable tannins and an extended finish added to this experience offered by this unfiltered creation from France’s Cote du Rhone Village appellation. Enjoy.

From Bertrand & Guillaume Gonnet, vign., this Côtes Du Rhône-Villages, full-bodied red wine is a blend of Grenache and Syrah. Great value under $20 for Font du vent Notre Passion Signargues (2015) with juicy blackberry and raspberry compote on the palate finishing long. The Signargues district encompasses four communes: Domazan, Estézargues, Rochefort-du-Gard and Saze. - Community Wine Reviews
