Reviews and Ratings

Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Dark purple in colour with aromas of raspberry, blueberries, dark chocolate and dried candied fruit. It is full bodied with high acidity and medium tannins. It is sweet with flavours of blueberry jam, chocolate and honey. This will pair well with blue cheeses or dark chocolate. Tasted on November 17, 2019.
Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Full bodied and fully sweet with flavours of dark berries, chocolate, salted caramel, dried fruit, and cloves this wine refreshes on the warming, complex finish.
Pair with pungent cheeses, or chocolate cake with berry coulis.
Drink now or cellar until 2024 and beyond. Decant if it has aged.
Date tasted: November 2014.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Intense aromas of blueberries and figs carry through on the palate, with a mouthwatering jammy persistence. A fabulous pairing with blue cheeses!
Shelley Harris rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A deep purple colour full of sweet fruit and spicy berry aromas and taste. A delicious port to finish the meal, paired with dark chocolate truffles for dessert.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Great entry-level Port, and an excellent price point. Aromas of fig, mocha, caramel and honey. Full bodied and luscious on the palate with bright acidity, some medium tannins, and rich, ripe and dried fruit notes. Enjoy after dinner with a plate of firm cheese drizzled with honey.
Jay Denney rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A good entry for those who aren't familiar with port. Dark berries, prunes, dried apricots. Pleasant mouthfeel.
Deep youthful ruby colour. Intense rich fruity nose crammed with pure blackberry, cassis, cherry and plum aromas interwoven with notes of spice.
