Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A delicious example of the Ripasso method of wine-making, whereby red wine is left to ferment sitting on skins from the flavourful Amarone grape varietal, imparting fuller flavours to the resulting wine
This Ripasso was aromatic with ripe cherries, dark fruit, vanilla and baking spices. The full-bodied palate showed these ripe fruit characteristics with well-integrated oak and a silky, smooth mouthfeel, food-friendly acidity and rich satisfying finish. This is a lot of wine value at a very reasonable price; I will definitely buy this one again- and again!
Anthony Hillman - WSET ADV rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A well balanced and food friendly above-medium bodied Valpolicella Ripasso, very good to drink now or within the next 2 to 3 years. Aromas of dark cherry, dried plum, and leather. Fresh acidity, moderate integrated tannins, flavours of dried black fruit and black pepper, and with a moderate to long juicy finish. Pair with roasted meats, pasta dishes with tomato sauce, and much more!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
