Big aromas and flavours of boysenberry, blueberry and blackberry on this classic Californian red wine made from the flagship Zinfandel grape. Vibrant, round and full-bodied. Bursting with flavour and vibrancy. Finishes with dark spices. Perfect for BBQ meats.

Zinfandel food pairings: dry-rubbed ribs, grilled burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Ripe lackberries and blueberries, a rich spiciness and a touch of earthiness. The taste emhasises the blueberry but the blackberry shows nicely as well. Nice tannins, a velvety mouth-feel and a spicy, warm finish. A nice winter sipping wine with lots of depth and character.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A nice California Zin. Oak and spice more prominent on the nose that complements ripe fruit and berry aromas. Blackberry and raspberry come through on the palate. A little hot from the alcohol. Smooth tannins. A great BBQ wine you could also enjoy on its own.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A blackberry jam nose and a palate showing dark blackberry jam, a touch of smoke and oak. Jammy finish.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Offers up raspberry and red licorice on the nose. The palate has the same with some blueberry and spice.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Very 'juicey fruit' berry upfront and leathery smoke and anise on the finish. Boozy warmth comes through as well so it makes for a cozy winter wine. Med-full bodied, med-light tannins, smooth finish. Its pairing well with chili right now; go for it!
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

This wine is for people with a sweet tooth. Nose of liquorice and raspberry pie. Mouth full of super ripped fruit. A genre that you either love or hate.
Folie a deux means a passion shared by two. This wine hails from the heart of the Sonoma Valley where they are truly "crazy" about wine. - Community Wine Reviews
