Natalie's Score: 88/100

Delicato Family Vineyards produce this full-bodied with classic aromas of cassis and blackcurrant. Nicely balanced oak. Although it's robust, it's not heavy. Attractive wisps of hickory smoke on the finish along with cassis and blackcurrant. This is a good value for Napa Valley cabernet. Try it with a rare steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled steaks, pulled pork, venison burgers, hard cheese, prime rib.

Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Ripe and supple, this full-bodied wine has flavours of dark cherries, blackberry jam, plum, with sweet and pungent spices adding complexity. This wine is harmonious on the lengthy, fruit-driven finish.
Pair with finer cuts of beef, lamb, or sip on its own.
Drink now, or cellar until 2018 to allow it to further soften in texture and gain complexity.
Date tasted: October 2014.
Brought to us by Delicato Family Vineyards, this dark, balanced red wine would be terrific with gourmet hamburgers. - Community Wine Reviews
