Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A full bodied Argentinian red from the Uco Valley of Mendoza with luscious flavors of ripe berry - blueberry, black cherry jam, blackberry, tobacco and some spice. Supple, smooth tannins and a lengthy finish. Tasted November 2017.
Finca Sophenia Reserve (2015) is an Argentinean Cabernet Sauvignon from Tupungato in the Mendoza wine region. The vineyard is at an altitude of 4000 feet. Parcel selection of grapes, canopy management such as selective pruning were employed; grapes were hand-harvested and sorted. Grapes were cold macerated for eight days, fermented at controlled temperatures for 12 days and wine was aged in French and American oak for 10 to 12 months prior to bottling. This Cab Sauv. is complex, intense and needs some cellaring time to tame some of those incredible tannins. - Community Wine Reviews
