Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

From Castiila, Spain the esteemed Gonzalez-Byass Winery in Toledo produces this full-bodied and flavourful dry blend of Tempranillo, Cab Sauv, Syrah, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot & Graciano. A perfumed nose offers ripe dark fruit, vanilla and floral violet, while the complex palate gives dark fruit, vanilla, spices and oak in a supple, smooth mouthfeel with great acidity. Versatile for barbeque or grilled lamb chops and hard cheeses. Terrific value at $16.95

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

What a promising Spanish red! This wine is an enticing blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes showcasing sweet and savoury characteristic. The nose shows pronounced aromas of ripe berries, plum, vanilla, dates, and licorice. The palate is a burst of licorice, black plum, vanilla, dark chocolate. Tannins are mature and smooth, acidity is well-balanced (med+), and the finish is long with note dried druit notes, licorice and a satin mouthfeel. This med-full bodied gem of a wine is a steal! Enjoy with a scrumptious backyard BBQ. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Ashley Quesnel reviewed this wine as follows:

Aromatic notes of floral, cherry, blueberry and vanilla. Medium-bodied and elegant with a smooth mouthfeel. Pair with lamb burgers or hard cheeses. Excellent value.
Produced by Gonzales Byass, the 2013 vintage of the Finca Constancia is a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo grapes and organically grown Garnacha (Graciano) grapes. The wine is juicy, succulent with savoury, ripe black fruit and finishes smoky on the palate and matured 13 months in French and American oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
