Lovely cinnamon-sprinkled apple pie with sweet fleshy strawberries. A terrific dessert wine that's neither too sweet, nor too alcoholic.

Cabernet Franc food pairings: pastries, fresh field berries in cream, fruit puddings.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Featherstone Select Late Harvest Cabernet Franc – $19.95 (375ml). This is the best value ‘IceWine’ you can find! Not officially called ‘IceWine’ because it was picked at -6C, not -8C or colder as required by law. So sweet, and refreshing, this is a must and would pair terrifically with any rich dessert, with chocolate, or fresh berries. Some of my favourite pairings for this wine include strawberry shortcake and raspberry scones. Tasted February 2015. 92+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
This Niagara late-harvest Cabernet Franc offers lovely post-prandial pleasure with berry sweetness, but not the full tilt sweetness of icewine. The grapes for this wine are sustainably farmed by David Johnson and Louise Engel. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
