Great Value under $16 on this Canadian Niagara Peninsula rosé. Featherstone 2020 is a mouth-watering Cab. Franc, Gamay and Merlot rosé wine blend with bright strawberry, raspberry, watermelon bright and zesty with food-friendly acidity on the palate. Delicious with roast turkey or duck. In 2019, David Johnson was named Winemaker of the Year at the Ontario Wine Awards while Featherstone celebrated its 20th vintage.

Rosé food pairings: avocado spring greens and strawberry salad, corn pineapple avocado and kale salad with strawberry dressing, golden beet salad with spring onion and goat cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

For our July wine tasting, our group moved outside to the park and tasted this beautiful Rosé from Niagaras' standout 2020 vintage. A deep pink colour with a pronounced aroma of raspberry, cherry, strawberry and a tantalising herbal note. A dry wine, with food friendly acidity, light bodied and a palate featuring berry flavours; raspberry, strawberry and cherry.Excellent with salmon, BBQ chicken, candied smoked salmon and good friends!
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Each Spring when Featherstone's new vintage of their super popular Rosé is released, it's also a sign that patio season has arrived! Their Rosé has become a go-to for many each year given its fresh and fruity characteristics and terrific price. The 2020 vintage blends some of the Niagara Peninsula's best reds (Cabernet Franc, Gamay Noir, and Merlot) highlighting the fragrant, sweet and refreshing, berry fruit that makes this such a quenchable wine to enjoy in the summer sun. Cherry, strawberry-rhubarb, Jolly Ranchers, and fragrant herbs in a dry and palate cleansing style. A great complement to charcuterie platters, cedar plank salmon, spicy Asian cuisine, and BBQ fare. Tasted May 2021. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, Featherstone 2020 is a great value Cabernet Franc, Gamay and Merlot rosé under $17. A brilliant pink in the glass and delicious with roast turkey or duck, look for ripe red berry, strawberry and fresh cherry aromas on the nose with notes of tropical fruit and a touch of spice balanced with mouth-watering acidity on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
