From Bodegas Faustino, Icon Edition 2015 is a full-bodied Rioja red blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano. Lovely toasty oak notes mingle with ripe plum, and blueberry aromas on the nose. Dry, juicy and silky on the palate with dark berry, blueberry, plum, dried strawberry, savoury herb and smoky vanilla flavours accompanied by fine, rounded tannins. Nicely done. Pour with a grilled pork tenderloin.

Food pairings: tourtière, grilled game sausages, venison roast, roast pork, veal chops, lamburgers.

Reviews and Ratings

From Bodegas Faustino, Icon Edition 2015 is a vibrant and smoky Tempranillo and Graciano red wine blend. Spicy with ripe red and dark berry aromas on the nose, this medium-plus-bodied red blend with dark plum, blueberry, dark cherry, earthy floral and spicy, smoky flavours finishing long on the palate. Tannins are polished. Pair with potato and saffron tart. - Community Wine Reviews
