A rustic, full-bodied red with classic chianti aromas of sour back cherry, dried herbs and smoke. Lots of flavour and generosity of the palate here. This organic wine has just 6 mg/l of free sulphur.

Reviews and Ratings

Vera rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Great Chianti Classico from Tuscany. Lovely and intense aroma, on the palate rich, zesty fruit flavors, bright dark cherry tones, medium to almost full body feel. Great acidity will pair well with food. Long finish that makes you long for more.
Lively black cherry ruby with black reflections. The bouquet is fairly intense, with slightly cooked berry fruit supported by unusual mentholated accents and as it opens pleasant berry fruit. On the palate it’s pleasant, with lively fresh cherry fruit supported by deft sour cherry acidity with strawberry accents and clean spicy tannins that flow into a clean tannic finish. Pleasant in a light zesty key, and though fairly direct will go very well with foods, a wine that one could drink quite a bit of. Score: 2 (out of 3) Source: Kyle Phillips, Italian Wine Review, May 7, 2012
