Natalie's Score: 93/100

A limited-production Chardonnay with wine grapes sourced from volcanic and gravelly loam soils in the Coombsville AVA. Smoky with white florals and mineral notes aromas, lush, ripe and creamy tropical fruit, citrus and toasty oak flavours on the palate. So rich with terrific balance and poise. Nicole Marchesi is the winemaker for this Chardonnay from a cool-climate AVA moderated by fogs that roll in from the San Pablo Bay, and on average can be as much as ten degrees cooler than surrounding areas.

Chardonnay food pairings: steamed mussels, lemon-herbed chicken, pan-fried trout.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
