Dark as night, and just as mysterious and intriguing! This powerful red wine comes out fighting with delicious dark fruit and toasty oak. The grapes for this wine come from 40-year-old vines near the Lujan de Cuyo and Las Compuertas regions. Approximately, 40% of the wine is matured in French oak barrels for 1 year. Delightful!

Malbec food pairings: game, lamb, spaghetti and meat balls, veal cutlets, osso buco, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Bordeaux in sheeps clothing. Dry, structured, big tannins, this is a great example of a big left bank wine being produced in Argentina. Stylistically this wine is meant to be enjoyed with rustic protein rich dishes that help soften the big tannins. Dark berries, chocolate, leather, herbs. Very impresseive. Enjoy 2015-2020+. Tasted January 2015. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Signature Malbec with aromas and flavours of black fruit, dark spice and some toasty oak. Well-made and balanced. - Community Wine reviews
