Natalie's Score: 91/100 Terrific lusciousness on the nose and palate of this robust Argentine Cabernet. The Max Reserva line of wines delvers extraordinary value. The 2014 vintage offers aromas of ripe black plum and cassis. Pair with a pepper steak.
Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rack of lamb, grilled pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Very fragrant old vine Cab, with concentrated raspberry jam and Damson plum flavours, along with subtle secondary baking spice and oak. Smooth and balanced with velvety tannins. Definitely a "more, please" wine. Tasted Dec. 2016
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: More floral (violet) on the nose of this Chilean Cabernet than expected. Other aromas include red berry and currant. Berry mingles with pepper on the palate. Nice acid and finish lingers. Tannin is balanced and not overwhelming. A great steak wine at a decent price point.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Aromas of blueberries, raspberries, and spices, with a meaty undertone. The taste is slightly brighter with tart cherry and raspberry flavours, and a little bit of grippy tannin. Juicy acidity and a slightly tart cherry finish.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: It is a dark purple colour, so it is still pretty young, but has a very elegant nose of blackberry, plum and spice. On the palate, it has grippy tannins, medium acidity, and more dark cherry flavours. I would pair this with a peppercorn steak or a gourmet grilled burger. Always a bargain Cabernet Sauvignon!
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: The 2014 Max Riserva Cabernet Sauvignon shows clean pronounced notes of cooked red berries, cinnamon, dark chocolate, anise, and a hint of graphite minerality. The palate is off dry with a balanced acidity, a smooth mouthfeel and a long lip smacking finish. This full bodied wine is quite the bargain for its quality. Enjoy pairing with all beef Taxas style chili. Tasted Jan 2016.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: The Errazuriz Max Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 features blackberry, raspberry, and spice. Tasted January 31, 2016 (89/100)
Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Earthy and spicy nose. Nice tannins and acid; full pull throughout the mouth. Medium full bodied. A little acidic on the finish.
Cora Beaulieu rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: An intense fruity and ruby-red colored wine. With aromas of fresh red berries, black cherry jam, cassis, black olive, hints of balsamic, smoky spice, and sweet spices (such as nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves,) cocoa and mineral aromas with soft, well integrated oak. Full-bodied, appealing and aromatic. Velvety on the palate. The notes retell this wine’s aromatic story of dominant fresh, juicy red and black fruit complemented by sweet spices. Elegantly balanced with fine tannins and robust acidity. Very good length. Yum.
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 79/100 with the following review: Interesting but very strong… Presentation: Classic. Appearance: Medium-dark ruby Nose: Green vegetables, green pepper, leather, grilled vegetables Taste: Earth, sour cherries, leather. Finish: Tannic, sour cherries, earth, leather. Overall impression: Interesting but very strong. Better with food (grilled meats, cured meats, strong cheeses) Value: 2 out of 5
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows: Tasted Sept. 20, 2017 at wine club. Colour Ruby red, good legs. Aromas and flavours of, black cherry, red pepper, baking spices and hint cedar. Taste dry, medium plus mouthfeel, fruity, with medium tannin. Finish medium. Tasted blind with 4 other Cabs, this did not fair well ended up 5th out of 5. Overall a nice wine, good everyday wine. A good wine for the price.
