Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Deepest darkest inky red with dark staining tears. Incredibly well layered. This one’s a biggie, 15.6% ABV. Pronounced dried fruit aromas with dark plum, berry pie filling, old leather and chocolate. On the palate, powerful date, fig and cherry compote flavours unfold with hints of nutty trail mix, baking spice. Dark chocolate and cayenne pepper heat unfold. Medium acidity, full body and refined hugging tannins. Evolving and engaging. This is something to pair with a time spent enjoying a deep conversation with friends. It can stand up to roasted leg of lamb, hearty game meats and a cigar. - tasted April 2018
