Reviews and Ratings

Colleen Fitzgibbons rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This crisp, lively white has bright aromas of honeysuckle, ginger, white grapefruit, and ripe melon. Honey, ripe stone fruit and melon on the palate are reminiscent of a summer day. Good acidity and minerality keep this delicious pinot gris juicy and fresh. Pair with watermelon salad and grilled chicken or planked salmon. The honey and ginger will also pair well with sushi and asian dishes.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Floral and peach aromas with peach, honeydew, citrus and a touch of honey on the palate. Nice minerality and acidity throughout leading to a crisp flavorful finish. Tasted April 2019.
Pam Hatton rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful melon, ginger, white stone fruit. Luscious mouth feel with white fruit on the palate. Long finish.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Faint floral and stonefruit aromas with a lively palate. Honey crisp apple, poached pear, candied citrus peel and pickled ginger spice flavours deliciously layer upon each other. Enjoy with shrimp Pad Thai. Tasted Nov '18 by @sommsosa.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A tasty, mouthwatering Oregon blend from the infamous Willamette Valley. The 2017 vintage is showing well. Stone fruit dominant aromatics, with fresh peach and bartlett pear on the nose. On the palate showing well, with medium plus acidity, green melon, pear and orange blossom. Tasted the 2017 vintage in November 2018. 89 points
Elk Cove 2017 is a juicy Pinot Gris (with some Gewürztraminer and Muscat added to the blend) from Willamette Valley, Oregon. The estate dates back to 1985 and the winery operates under gravity flow for gentle treatment of the grapes and juice. Grapes were hand-harvested from hillside vineyards situated in the north of the Willamette Valley for this vintage. On the palate, the wine is dry with ripe melon, apple and soft orange flavours finishing with a light mineral touch. Chill and enjoy now with your favourite seafood dish. - Community Wine Reviews
