From the Calchaquíe Valley, El Esteco 1945 2022 is produced from Old Vines Torrontes. Fragrant, fresh and zesty with lychee, citrus blossom, melon, lemongrass and stoney mineral flavours vibrant on the palate. Produced in concrete eggs, this wine is aromatic and flavoursome. Chill and enjoy it with roasted Cornish game hens.

Torrontés food pairings: herbed creamy cheeses, raclette, grilled chicken with Satay sauce, fish tacos.

Reviews and Ratings

Elizabeth Krivonosov reviewed this wine as follows:

consistently outstanding torrontes without any oak. Very varietal-driven but not overly so. Perfumed lychee, orange blossom, lime, melon, a hint of lemongrass and stones. Very bright on the palate with a phenolic touch that offsets the generous, aromatic fruit and flowers. The result is a nicely structured and vibrant torrontes that is more discreet and gastronomic than most. Fermented in concrete eggs. Drink now. Score - 94. (jamessuckling.com, March 27, 2023)
