Crisp and clean and refreshing. This does have mouth-watering acidity but it's not the searing attack of acidity that you find in some wines from this region. Lovely as an aperitif or companion to fresh seafood.

Albariño food pairings: linguine with crab meat.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A refreshing white from NW Spain showing a light citrus nose and a palate with bright citrus lemon-lime and grapefruit pith. Dry and crisp with a long citrus finish. A perfect choice for salads and grilled white fish or with lunch at an outdoor cafe.
Mario Cagnetta rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

With summer coming there is nothing better than a chilled glass of white wine, fruity and refreshing but also with a good body. Eidosela Vintage 2013 is the classic expression of Rias Baixas a famous winegrowing area located in Galicia in the Northwest of Spain, influenced by the Atlantic ocean. Albariño is the most important grape grown along with Loureira and Treixadura (Godello and Mencia are mainly cultivated in Valdeorras). This area is also known as Green Spain and due to this kind of this Maritime climate the wines are very acidic. The thick skin of the Albariño grape impart a good structure and body to these wines easily recognizable for the typical aroma of peaches.
Visual examination: crystal clear, with a straw yellow colour, moderately consistent.
Olfactory examination: moderately intense, moderately complex, fine in quality this Albariño has the typical peach flavour combined with citrus and mineral notes with a finish of pear and pineapple. Delicate white floral notes are also present in the bouquet.
Taste -olfactory examination: dry, moderately warm, moderately smooth, Eidosela is fresh and moderately sapid. Moderately balanced, moderately intense and moderately persistent after tasted, it is a fine quality wine with a medium structure that makes it ready to drink. It pairs very well with grilled scallops and shellfish.
Jason rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

Nice clean crisp white wine. Mostly lemon, grapefruit dominated, with some decent minerality and a little lees (stale beer). Didn't have much in the way of peach, apricot or fruit cup. Would have liked some of that riper fruit in this wine.
This acidic Spanish white wine offers lime and grapefruit aromas. Pair with fresh seafood. - Community Wine Reviews
