Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The 2018 Edouard Delaunay “Aux Chaignots” Premier Cru is a pleasurable trip from the instant it is poured into your glass. This pinot noir’s expressive, lingering aromas evoke fresh red field berries, sweet clove, dark chocolate, woodsy and herbal tea. And there’s more. This red’s pleasingly dry, supple texture offers you a stunning assortment of flavours - like sweet spices, cherries and dark chocolate – that love being in the limelight because they are in no hurry to dissipate.

This wine is a magnificent performance from the team leading Edouard Delaunay’s rebirth in Bourgogne.

What is Aux Chaignots? It is a 5.8 hectare plot with mainly gravel soils within Bourgogne’s Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation. This plot is one of Bourgogne’s 630+ climats. In Bourgogne, a climat is a single vineyard with a reputation for producing high quality wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
