Juicy purple plum and blueberry aromas on this nose of this vibrant Zinfandel, along with some spice and smoke on the finish. Full-bodied red wine that's so smooth with great intensity of flavour. Deep and concentrated; richly rewarding. Try it with meat lovers' pizza tonight.

Zinfandel food pairings: spaghetti Bolognaise, aged cheddar, grilled lamb loin, grilled duck breast, Italian sausage burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Crafted in the Amador County, California, this jammy Zinfandel 2012, from Easton Winery, shows aromas of juicy strawberry and cherry, fresh herbs, caramel and cooked coconut. Full bodied with a lovely long finish, this bold Californian will please with its warm taste of ripe strawberry, candied cherry, smoky tobacco, pepper and a cedar finish. The Easton 2012 Zinfandel shows abundant personality and is perfect for sipping on its own. Enjoy!

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Priya: I love zinfandel, the true kind - not the rosy coloured stuff! This is solid - not a standout- but it's fruity, full-bodied, with lots of flavor. Not overly jammy, just right. Like I said, solid. 86 pts

Alex: I'd have to agree my lady. No frills here, just straight up cherry-raspberry jam, light nutmeg, vanilla and cola notes to the nose. Some sugar as expected, and full-flavored but with an elegant touch of lacy texture and a spicy finish. It's well done, not mind-blowing nor disappointing. 86 pts
Amador County is quickly becoming known as one of California's best Zinfandel regions. These head-pruned vines are ancient and produce grapes of great concentrated flavour. - Community Wine Reviews
