Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Wow. Pretty aromas of peach, white pepper, lime, and green apple. The taste is tart pear and green apple with a touch of peach, and a long peppery pear finish. High acidity and a crisp mouth-feel. Perfect for salad, seafood, etc.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pale straw yellow. First aroma seemed sweet but that was quickly replaced with typical aromas of lemon and lime - no sweetness there! Loved the label on this funky bottle. Pretty script writing and a landing red-tail hawk. I can see people buying this wine for the bottle alone, but they won't be disappointed with the contents. This would be perfect with a plate of cold meats, salads and fish! Tasted November 27, 2016
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pale straw in colour with aromas of citrus, peach, white pepper and green apples. It is light bodied with green apple and citrus falvours with the pepper coming through on the finish. This wine is crisp, clean and refreshing with high acidity. This will pair nicely with creamy cheeses, salads or seafood.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This value priced Gruner offers great value and promises to be a crowd pleaser at seasonal festivities for those who love approachable dry white wine. Honeydew melon, white peach, starfruit and a hint of lime zest. I enjoyed pairing with Asian spring rolls and with Vietnamese beef Pho soup. Tasted Dec 2016 rated 87/100.
Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Alex: Pleasantly herbal nose, straightforward 'salad and oysters' gruner. You got green apples, green beans, lemon and pepper on the nose, very green apple-ish on the palate, fresh with nervy acidity. 87pts

Priya: I concur! This is a simple, fresh, lemon-crisp wine. 87pts
Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

The Dürnberg winery is located in the picturesque village of Falkenstein in Weinviertel, Austria and has been officially certified as the “Leading Wine Producer“of the region since 2012.
The grapes for this wine hail from high and cool vineyard sites which translates into zesty acidity in the bottle.
Steely with hints of white grapefruit, freshly cut green apple and a slight “cerise de terre” aroma on the nose.
Fresh, light and un-complicated on the palate with a lovely minerality and a touch of honey. The kind of wine with a “high guzzling factor”!
L & T' stands for light and dry which this wine is. Pair with oysters on the half-shell with a champagne mignotte. - Community Wine Reviews
