Duca Di Saragnano Governo 2022 is a great value Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend for $20 from the Tuscany wine region. Produced in the ancient Tuscan tradition of Governo alla Toscana, which means partially dried grapes are added into the winemaking after first fermentation, the result is a mouth filling red wine with dark berry, cherry, spice and savoury herbs supple on the palate. This method comes from medieval times when the must of partially dried grapes would be added to the fermenting wine. Enjoy it with a roast of boar or venison ragu.
