Natalie's Score: 91/100

A pleasant-drinking, light-bodied white with aromas of white pear and lime. Bernkasteler Badstube is viewed as some of the best vineyard soils in the Mosel region. There's some orchard fruit on the finish here. Crisp and vibrant, yet has some balancing fruit sweetness so as not to be austere and to pair well with a wider variety of dishes. Some guava and papaya infused with smoke on the finish.

Riesling Kabinett food pairings: spicy shrimp dishes, Asian chicken salad, roast turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon in colour with slight petillance, this medium sweet wine has refreshing acidity with flavours of peach, lime, chamomile, orange blossom, vanilla, and slight minerality that carry through on the long length of the refreshing finish.
Enjoy today or keep until 2016.
Pair with pad Thai, butter chicken, or your favourite cheeses.
Date tasted: February 2014.
