Lovely richness and layered with apricot preserves and peach jam on the nose and palate. Decisive sweetness is balanced by terrific mouth-watering acidity. Fleshy ripe peach and pear on the finish. Pair with mild curries and glazed ham.

Riesling Spätlese food pairings: turkey and spicy stuffing, pork schnitzel and dumpling, mild curry dishes.

Terrific Turkey Wine

Reviews and Ratings

Lise Charest Gagne rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Wow!! Riesling is a staple in my house and I've been drinking it for a long time. This one changed the game! It's concentrated goodness in the glass! It's so decadent at 7.5% alcohol too. Enticing satin aromas of ripe peach, apricot jelly and petrol. Tempered acidity holds candied lemon zest, juicy peach and the finish is fresh and ripe! So balanced on the ying and yang (sweet and tang)!!! This Riesling is a spatlese (the second hierarchy of six on the sugar level in grapes). I would imagine this would be killer with some hot chicken wings!
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

With Riesling, it's all about the balance between fruit and mineral elements. This one, from one of the Mosel's top producers, is a prize. Peach/mineral aromatics with a satiny, unctuous palate brimming with ripe peach, lemon, lime and slight mineral notes. Mouth-watering acidity and silky lingering finish. Pair with spicy curry dishes or fruit flan. Great gift wine.
Tasted March 2018
From one of the best producers of Mosel Riesling, Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler Bernkasteler Badstube 2015 is an off-dry Riesling Spätlese (late harvest) Mosel Prädikatswein. Great acidity on this made-for-food, mouth-watering Riesling, but matched with ripe stonefruit, pear, lime zest and lemon cream flavours. Pair with sweet and spicy braised pork belly. Drink now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
