Produced by M. Chapoutier, Domaine Tournon Shays Flat 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is dry, medium-plus-bodied with blackberry, black currant, red berries, spiced plum, sweet dried tobacco leaf and cedar spice flavours supple on the palate. Vines thrive in the deep red soils, schist, quartz and clay of Victoria's Pyrenees. A portion of the wine is aged in French oak puncheons (40% new) for under one year. Pour with grilled meats and soft ripened cheeses.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled meats, aged cheeses, blue cheese.

Bernard rated this wine as 93/100
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black currant, raspberry and dark plums, with lots of dried herbal notes, tobacco and cedar. Full bodied and robust on the palate with some grippy tannins, medium acidity, and rich dark fruit on the palate, balanced nicely with sweet tobacco hints and notes of cedar and spice. Enjoy with any grilled meats.
Produced by M. Chapoutier, Domaine Tournon Shays Flat 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is fragrant with black currant, raspberry and dark plums on the nose with layers of bright red berry fruit, black olive, mint and toasty oak spice flavours on its full-bodied frame. Tannins are fresh and grippy. Decant for a couple of hours and enjoy with roast beef dinner, or hold in cellar for two-to-three years. - Community Wine Reviews
