From the warmer wine region of Côtes De Gascogne in the Midi, a lush and layered Sauvignon Blanc rich with tropical fruit, spice, honey and dried herb flavours finishing long with a flinty minerality on the palate. Great acidity for food. Chill and pair with lobster bisque.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: fresh fish dishes, roast lemon chicken, veal scaloppini.

Reviews and Ratings

Neil Phillips rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

An entry-level offering from Tariquet in Gascogne, this is a classic SB that offers somewhat of a cross between New Zealand and the Loire.

Lots of vibrant tropical fruits, with fresh grassy notes and lifted herbal aromas.

On the palate still loads of fruit, with a slight savoury note.

Good value.

Tasted September 2019.
Domaine Du Tariquet 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is produced by the Famille Grassa from the Côtes De Gascogne wine region. Liquid sunshine on this fantastic-value SB under $14. Dry, medium-bodied with tropical fruit, honeyed stone-fruit, lemon zest and baking spice flavours on the palate with a wisp of a lingering smoky, flinty mineral finish. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2018 Frankfurt International Wine Trophy competition. - Community Wine Reviews
