Crisp and clean with aromas of lime zest and white grapefruit. This is a lively and medium-bodied Greek white wine blend of 75% Assyrtiko and 25% Athin grapes grown on vines planted in volcanic soils in the region of Santorini. Terrific energy and lemon brightness right through to the refreshing finish. Pair with shellfish and sunlight.

Assyrtiko Athiri food pairings: grilled calamari, fried Saganaki cheese, chicken brochettes.

Reviews and Ratings

Domaine Sigalas (2015) is an Assyrtiko, Athiri wine blend from Santorini. This refreshing white is made of two indigenous to Greece white wine grapes: Assyrtiko with intense earthy, mineral flavours from volcanic island soils; and the aromatic, quince and pear flavoured Athiri variety. On Santorini, the vines are trained in a basket shape to protect the fruit from the intense wind. Drink now and try it well-chilled with grilled shrimp, or cellar for five to allow the wine to show its best. - Community Wine Reviews
