Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Located only 10 minutes from Ottawa, Domaine Perrault displays a lovely landscape and produces well made wine. I had the chance to visit and taste their wines last summer and discovered one of their best, the Reserve des Proprietaires Red 2013. Katie Duschene, Domaine Perrault’s winemaker, explained how she created this red wine from blending 2012 and 2013 wines, and let me tell you that she is talented! Good to see young winemakers in our region. Reserve des Proprietaires offers aromas of dark skin plum, dark cherry, dried herbs, green bean, coffee and oak. Medium body with a medium peppery finish, give this food friendly wine many reasons to pair with your preferred dish. On the palate, a surprisingly gentle balance for a cold climate wine, with lingering flavors of red plum, black pepper, backing spice, leather and oak. If you’re ever in the Ottawa area and would like to discover a friendly family run winery, Domaine Perrault is a must stop. Enjoy.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
