Smooth and smoky with crushed raspberry notes, green herbs, and a touch of pepper. Wine grapes for this 100% Cabernet Franc were sourced from a range of 10 to 35-year-old vines; Medium bodied with great structure and good acidity for food. Pair with grilled red meats. Domaine les Pins has been in the ownership of the same family for five generations. Philippe Pitault-Landry and his family have maintained the integrity of their estate. They're independent of the local co-ops. They maintain traditional growing techniques sensitive to the land and its sustainability

Food pairings: veal, roast chicken, grilled pork chops.

Domaine Les Pins Cuvée Les Rochettes 2017 is a great value Bourgueil from the Loire under $18. Made from Cabernet Franc, look for classic capsicum, ripe raspberry, crushed berry leaf, flinty and white pepper flavours on the palate. Lingers on the palate with a tart cherry, green herb and zesty finish. Loves food. So give it a roast chicken. Decant for one hour prior to pouring. - Community Wine Reviews
