a vibrant, fresh red produced mostly from the Cabernet Franc wine grape. Ripe raspberry, red currant, strawberry and flinty flavours on the palate finishing with a smattering of white pepper spice. Fresh, with great acidity for food. Pair with roast quail.

Food pairings: roast turkey, ratatouille, sautéed pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A very good Loire red exuding sour cherry, red cherry, and pomegranate alongside an earthy forest floor aroma. Vibrant acidity, soft tannins, and medium body. This is a top notch food wine, perfect for duck, turkey, and chicken dishes. A very enjoyable offering of Cabernet Franc.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This 100% Cab Franc greets you with pleasant warm hay and hints of toasted spice on the nose. Eventually cherry comes through on the nose and palate. Medium bodied with dusty tannins. A feminine wine here to enjoy with Cornish hen or salmon in balsamic sauce. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
