Domaine Jacky Marteau 2019 Sauvignon Touraine is produced from sustainably-grown Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Loire Valley region and is exceptional value under $16. Fragrant on the nose with fine herb, Meyer lemon, grassy and mineral aromas, the wine is bone-dry, mouth-watering with citrus zest, tropical fruit, fresh greens and fresh green herbs on the palate. Chill and enjoy with a baguette, herbed goat cheese and a sunny afternoon.

Sauvignon Touraine food pairings: Thai green curry fish, fresh oysters on the half shell, chicken and sage skewers, fresh tomato and basil salad, pan-fried freshwater fish.

Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Medium gold white wine with a fragrant nose featuring aromas of gooseberry, pear, fennel, mango and acacia blossoms. Pleasantly acid, and dry, the palate tastes of ripe fruit, honey and ripe pear. A balanced wine to enjoy with goat cheese, baguettes or herbed grilled chicken.
