Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A medium-bodied off-dry white with aromas of honey and apricots, leading to a ripe apricot palate with hint of minerality and sweet spice.
Enjoy on its own or with lightly spiced seafood.
Jason Solanki rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Notes of honey, apricot and melon aromas. Lovely light hints of apricot, peach, melon on the palate, along with some minerality. Some honey and spice come through on the long finish. Slightly off-dry. Medium bodied and very well-balanced. Tasty and highly recommended! Tasted Aug/2012.
Roussette is an alternative name for the Altesse grape. This producer covered all of the bases with his label. No matter what you call it, this a great introduction to the rarely seen wines of Savoie. On the nose we discover aromas of apricot, honey, hay, peach pit, melon and spice. It’s dry and quite spicy on the palate, but with a round texture and bright fruit core that features peach and pear flavours as well as layers of honey, floral and mineral notes. A pretty and fascinating wine that should please just about anyone, but really should not be missed by wine cogno-scenti. Chill and sip. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
