Peppery and surprisingly robust for beaujolais. Vibrant dark cherry aromas and flavours with mouth-watering juiciness. Amazing food partner.

Gamay (Beaujolais) food pairings: veal medallions in a mushroom sauce, beef-and mushroom kebabs.

Reviews and Ratings

This wine springs from the appellation of Juliénas (some say named for Julius Caesar), one of the 10 “crus” of Beaujolais. These 10 are recognized for producing the region’s top wines. The Gamay grape in fine form here. Forward raspberry fruit, floral, earth and spice. Graceful and ripe on the palate, with spicy accents and enough structure to evolve for 3-5 years. There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
