This vibrant, unoaked French Chardonnay is ideal as an aperitif or companion to shellfish. Crisp notes of green apple and grapefruit. Naked Chardonnay in all its unadorned glory. Good value.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A delicate nose on this unoaked Chardonnay with subtle tropical fruit notes, followed by a palate showing citrus lime, pear and tropical fruit. Light to med mouthfeel with high acidity, making it very food friendly and versatile. Long citrus finish. Try with shellfish for total delight, or simply on its own; it's that tasty.
The 2013 vintage of the Domaine des Malandes Chardonnay is not oaked, and the fruit is grown on vines that are 35 years of age or older. That depth of character shows in the wine. - Community Wine Reviews
