Sweet and smoky with crushed raspberry, earthy, dried sweet tobacco leaf and cocoa aromas on the nose. Lots of juicy layers of ripe cherry, dark berry and baking spice flavours intense, generous and finishing silky smooth on the palate. Easy to enjoy now and for the next 10 years. Pair with a rib roast.

Châteauneuf-Du-Pape food pairings: maple glazed roasted root vegetables, vegetable cassoulet, sausage cassoulet.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced by Earl Michel Maret & Filles, Domaine De La Charbonnière 2016 is a toothsome Châteauneuf-Du-Pape from the Rhône wine region. Full-on bright dark raspberry, plum, earthy, dried sweet tobacco leaf, spice and cocoa flavours smooth and intense on the palate. Enjoy this Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre red wine blend now and for the next 10 years. One amazing CNDP to pair with a prime rib roast. - Community Wine Reviews
