Lovely floral and spice aromatics in this medium-bodied French white wine made from Viognier grapes. Wow! Pair with mild and medium curries and spices.

Viognier food pairings: oriental chicken salad with yoghurt and citrus dressing.

Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An elegant and complex white vinified from 100% Viognier grapes ripened in the sun-drenched vineyards of Languedoc-Roussillon in the south of France. Lovely golden in colour with beautifully articulated notes of ripe stone fruit and white flowers on the nose. Full-bodied palate with refreshing acidity and a hint of minerality. Serve chilled at 8 to 10°C. Great as an aperitif and perfectly paired with roasted chicken and comforting fall dishes. Tasted October 2017. Tania Thomas – www.runawaygrape.com
I just love Viognier and this one from the Pays d'Oc region is floral with sweet spice on the nose, honey, nut, wildflowers wrapped up with soft citrus and juicy peach on the palate. Domaine De La Baume Elisabeth Les Grands Chais (2016) is exceptional value under $20. This is your roast turkey wine. Enjoy now. - Community Wine Reviews
