Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This Sauvignon Blanc has all the elegance and balance you would expect of a Gold Medal winner at the 2018 Mondial des Vins Concours Féminalise Paris. Rich, sweet grass notes greet you in the glass. It is clean and dry and refreshing with savoury, herbal notes on the palate. All the elements are there but not over the top-in-your face. Good length extends the experience. Serve with grilled white fish. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From a winery that focuses on traditional methods and sustainable practices, this wine has evident notes of apple and pear and crisp acidity on the finish. It doesn’t have as much focus on the nose - mainly white flowers that surprisingly blends on the palate with the soft tropical fruit and granny smith apple flavours. There is something elegant about this wine without it being too delicate, quite enjoyable!
Domaine De Congy 2017 is a crisp, mouth-watering, flinty and smoky Pouilly-Fumé from the Loire wine region. Produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown in aargilo-calcaire soils, the wine has green apple crunch and white stone-fruit flavours on the palate finishing with a flinty, smoky minerality. So good. Chill and enjoy with a herbed goat cheese and spring onion quiche. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2018 Mondial des Vins Concours Féminalise Paris. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
