Classic Old World Sauvignon Blanc that's pure lemon light and crispness. Not much oak evident here; great mouth-watering juiciness for food. Not grassy, just refreshing and focused. Makes me focused too ... on the bottle.

Reviews and Ratings

Malcolm Lamont - WSET Adv, CSW rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This clear wine has a pale lemon-green colour, and clean, medium+ intensity, youthful aromas of grapefruit, grass, asparagus wet stone and gooseberry.

It is dry on the palate with high acidity, medium alcohol and body, medium+ flavour intensity of lemon grass, stone and flint smoke.

It would pair well with the classic Sauvignon Blanc foods - Oysters, goat cheese, arugula, canapé.

Along with Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé is arguably the finest region in the European wine world for growing Sauvignon Blanc. Shows an abundance of sweet ripe fruit – apple, white peach, gooseberry and fruit salad while maintaining a level, cool balance. Nice persistence, length and finesse.
