The 2015 vintage of the robust Chante Cigale is a blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault grapes. This southern French wine is fairly supple and smooth. Juicy, concentrated flavour of dark berries and smoke. Pair with rare steaks.

Châteauneuf-Du-Pape food pairings: pork roast, roast beef, grilled veal chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Neil Phillips rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Lush with lots of red fruit compote, some Nibs, sage, black pepper and aged balsamic. More fruit than savoury.

Tannins are medium+, but still quite smooth. Well-balanced, it carries 15% with ease.

This CdP is drinking well now, and will certainly age.

Tasted September 2018.
From the Rhône wine region, Domaine Chante Cigale 2015 is a flavoursome, smooth and juicy Châteauneuf-Du-Pape. The wine is complex, creamy and is a full-bodied blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault. Look for cherry and blackberry liqueur, earthy florals, cake spice flavours and a long and satisfying finish. Pair with a roast beef. Drink ow and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
